Our students had a great first day of pre-k! We started our morning with a cutting activity and free play before having our very first Calendar. We learned several new songs that we will practice throughout the year, including "Months of the Year," "There are Seven Days," and "AEIOU." Hopefully your little ones will feel brave enough to share with you in the coming days.
We are spending this first week learning the expectations of the classroom and introducing concepts and letters. We are also learning how to move among our learning and play centers. We were lucky to have beautiful warm weather today, so the kids finally got to see the playground!
Please remember to send in your forms from Open House, particularly the email sheet and the blog permission form, which we need to be able to post pictures of the kids in the classroom. You may see various sheets come home, too, including a request for your preferred address and telephone number. When you pick your guy or gal up in the afternoon, please be sure to place the carpool sign with your child's name on the front on your dash in order for us to move everyone along smoothly.
