More Fun with F

We have been focusing on the letter Ff this week and have enjoyed engaging in activities centered on this letter.  On Tuesday, at centers, the students completed an Ff builder activity in which they practiced reading, building, and writing the letter Ff.  We also read the book Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister, which is a story about friendship, and then created our own Valentine themed rainbow fish using a variety of different sized hearts.

The students also enjoyed a dress up center on Tuesday.

Practicing recognizing the letter Ff and making the /f/ sound.

On Wednesday we went to the library for story time and enjoyed hearing books about Valentine's Day!

Taking turns finding and circling upper and lower case F's.

Some pictures from the playground.

On Thursday, as the students came into the classroom, they enjoyed a sensory activity using shaving cream and toy cars and animals.  The purpose of this activity was two-fold; not only did the students have fun, but our tables were nice and clean afterwards (no more glue residue)!!

Our centers on Thursday included painting craft sticks red (for a special Valentine's craft), a 'What starts with F?' activity, and Lego's.

Words that begin with F!
