Today we practiced writing our first and last names and worked on the long and short Uu sounds. We got to put our mad cutting skills to use and then showed off our best listening skills to determine if our Uu pictures belonged in the "long" column or the "short" column.

We also had a rousing music session with Ms. Caitlin. She was brave enough to play a listening game that allowed us to run and jump, and then she brought out a fabulous surprise--a parachute! We got to shake the parachute in every direction to the beat of the music.

We read a great pop-up book at storytime that followed up with our discussion on underwater life. We decided to add rays, lobsters, crabs, and seahorses to our list of creatures who live in the sea.

When we packed to go home, we added a very special invitation to our bookbags. We have Dessert With Daddy on Monday, March 5, at 6:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. If fathers are unable to attend, the kids are welcome to bring a grandparent or a special friend. We hope to see you there!
